He had an unrivaled passion for Ferrari," says the Monaco driver. "On the track, he was always ready to give everything. This is my special helmet for the Canadian Grand Prix. It was inspired by the design that was typical of Villeneuve's helmet, featuring red and black." A few months ago, Leclerc had the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a car that is part of Ferrari history and belonged to Gilles. Last September, Charles had the privilege of testing a car at the Fiorano circuit that has remained in the hearts of many Ferrari fans: the 1979 312 T4 driven by Gilles Villeneuve and Jody Scheckter. The strong bond that the Monaco driver feels for his beloved Canadian was already evident; he was so moved that all he could say was: "Beautiful, absolutely beautiful." A year ago, former team principal Mattia Binotto compared Charles to Gilles. Charles responded by saying: "It fills me with pride.
